Teach hands-on science workshops as part of a team to Camp-In participants. Camp-In is an overnight program for kindergarten-5th grade and 6th-10th grade students in a scout or youth group. Lessons and materials are provided for all workshops.
All shifts are five hours, from 5:45-10:45PM on Friday and/or Saturday evenings. Camp-In programs are held from January – early May. Applicants must be able to attend two days of training on January 11-12, 2025, and be able to commit to at least eight shifts during the season.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
- Facilitate hands-on activities with Camp-In participants
- Teach 45-minute workshops to Camp-In participants
- Work with a variety of age groups including adults
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Maturity and flexibility
- Good organizational and people skills
- Experience teaching groups of children
- Genuine interest in science content
- Must have completed at least 2-3 years of college, teaching professionals preferred
- Demonstrate good judgement, personal responsibility, and productive impact
- Attend training sessions as part of onboarding process

Compensation: $15.50/hour
Hours: Part-time, variable schedule
Benefits: SSL (safe and Sick Leave) accrual
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Basic Requirements: Must be able to pass background check and fingerprinting
